About CoderDojo
CoderDojo organizes free programming clubs, known as "Dojo's", where boys and girls learn programming, website creation, app development, and game design. Participants meet like-minded peers and showcase their projects, making programming and development an enjoyable and interactive learning experience.
Dojo's are run by volunteers, including coaches with sufficient ICT knowledge and the passion to guide the youth. There are also cooks who manage the practical aspects of the Dojo. CoderDojo emphasizes open source and free software, fostering a rapidly growing network of members and volunteers worldwide. The organization aims to show that programming is for everyone, not just for tech enthusiasts. CoderDojo promotes a culture of creativity and fun with the simple motto: "Above all: be cool!".

Practical Information
Participants can join between the ages of 7 and 18. If younger than 12, it is recommended to have a parent or guardian present. Parents do not need to stay the entire time but should remain nearby for contact purposes. It is appreciated if parents return half an hour before the end to witness the showcase and assist volunteers with cleanup.
Participants should bring a laptop. Coaches will ensure that any necessary software is installed or will inform beforehand if any specific tools are needed. If a laptop is not available, CoderDojo will try to provide one.
