About the Book
Education operates within a system with its own laws and structures. It takes place in a specific location (the school or classroom), within a defined period (a school or academic year), with the ambition to produce strong learning outcomes for students. But what happens when the current system is found to be ineffective? When the learning of students is no longer prioritized, but rather maintaining an outdated way of working?
The Design of Educational Systems introduces educational design as a new approach. It offers a framework to deeply understand the current issues in education, prioritizing knowledge development and practical solutions in real-life situations. For those looking to create change in their school amidst numerous challenges, this book provides a handy model and many tips to get started right away, with the ultimate goal of making learning so extraordinary that no student or teacher ever wants it to stop.
