It is essential for participants to read the rules carefully to avoid any issues, as they will be displayed on the day of the presentation.
By registering, individuals agree to the event's terms and conditions and should review them thoroughly.
Access will be invalidated 15 minutes after the presentation starts, which means attendees will be placed on a waiting list, but this does not guarantee entry to the event or book signing.
The registration is valid for the individual who registers and one guest; please do not make two separate registrations. Each registration allows entry for two people only—one adult and one minor if the attendee is underage. Access is limited to two individuals per registration, no exceptions.
During the book signing, only one of the two people will be allowed to enter with the author, identified by color-coded wristbands. In the case of a minor, only the minor will enter for the signing.

What will happen on the day of the presentation?
It is crucial for both the participant and their guest to arrive on time.
The Penguin Random House staff will direct attendees to the appropriate line for entry as they arrive.
To gain access, it is mandatory to complete the online registration and present the code on the event day.
Access validation will occur on December 5, 2024, at the entrance of the Salón Enrique González Martínez, International Area, Expo Guadalajara from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM.
Arrival after the specified time will result in invalidated access, placing individuals in a waiting list that does not guarantee entry.
The Penguin Random House team will validate registrations and provide wristbands of different colors for the participant and their guest to facilitate entry and identify who will enter the book signing.
Registration is non-transferable, allowing only one person and their guest or one adult for each underage attendee, both needing to wear their assigned wristbands.
Access only guarantees entry to the event; seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each participant is allowed to have one book signed, for which they must hold a wristband indicating authorization for signing.
If attendees have access but do not possess a book, staff will require them to obtain one for signing purposes.
Attendees must bring the book they wish to have signed. In case of multiple books, they will be asked to choose one, and the additional titles will be held for safekeeping.
If any pirated edition is found, attendees will need to purchase an original. Those already holding a wristband can buy a new book without losing their spot but cannot hold their position in line.
The Penguin Random House team will take a photo or video during the signing using the participant's device for keepsake purposes.
To ensure every participant can have their book signed, the author will not be able to record videos or send any messages.
The event will conclude as scheduled in the FIL program or earlier if the authors finish signing before the specified time.
Is there a cost? Registration and entry to the event are free and limited to 350 double entries. Can multiple friends share a spot? No, access is only valid for the registrant and their guest, or for one adult and one minor in case of minors. Attempts to share or falsify access will result in exclusion from the event.
If access was not obtained, does waiting in line provide a chance of entry? No, to ensure all registered participants have a great experience, it is necessary to avoid crowds and long waits.
