Join an exciting snorkeling adventure at Campbells Bay reef guided by a skilled instructor. Participants can expect to encounter various marine life such as spotties, stingrays, and nudibranchs. While taking a break from the water, attendees can gather more information about the local marine ecosystem at the information stall. It's a fun-filled activity suitable for the entire family, weather permitting. Updates about any changes will be communicated via email and social media.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own snorkeling equipment, although masks, snorkels, fins, and wetsuits are available for free rental. This activity is ideal for individuals aged four and older, with children under 14 needing adult supervision while in the water. Professional guides and strict safety measures will be in place during the session.
The activity will take place on Saturday, 14th December 2024.
Session timings include:
- Beginners Group: 10:00am - 11:30am
- Intermediate/Advanced Group: 11:30am - 1:00pm
- Beginners Group: 1:30pm - 3:00pm
It is advisable to preregister for the snorkeling sessions.
Group classifications are as follows:
- Beginners Group: Ideal for first-time snorkelers, non-swimmers, or those lacking confidence in the water.
- Intermediate/Advanced Group: Suited for individuals who have snorkeled previously and possess moderate swimming skills.
Location: Campbells Bay Reserve, 8 Huntly Road, Campbells Bay, Auckland.
Experiencing Marine Reserves coordinates a variety of free and subsidized activities throughout the year, depending on public support. Donations of money, or time as a volunteer, are greatly appreciated to help sustain these initiatives.
If anyone feels unwell or is in isolation, they are urged to refrain from attending this activity.
