About Julie Nolke
Julie Nolke is an accomplished actor, writer, filmmaker, and creator of her comedy YouTube channel, which has nearly 1 million subscribers. She has received multiple accolades, including two Streamy Award nominations and three Webby Awards. Notably, she won Excellence in Writing at the esteemed Buffer Festival in Toronto for two consecutive years, 2019 and 2023. Her viral series "Explaining the Pandemic to my Past Self" has gained around 65 million views.
In addition to her online success, Julie is active in the film and television industry. Her recent work includes featured roles in "The Wedding Rule" (W Network), "Murdoch Mysteries" (CBC), "What We Do in the Shadows" (FX), "Coroner" (CBC/Apple TV), "Odd Squad" (PBS), "TallBoyz" (CBC), and the Emmy Award-winning "Workin’ Moms" (CBC/Netflix). Gwynne Phillips, an award-winning artist based in Toronto, has made her mark as an actor, writer, director, and producer. She has directed various stage productions such as "About Time" (Toronto Fringe), "An Evening in July" (Summerworks), and "Emotional Labour" (Toronto Fringe). Phillips has also crafted and produced several short films, with highlights including "Dinette," which premiered at the Canadian Film Festival, and "Alaska," which won the Grand Prize for "Best Comedy" at JFL NorthWest. She is part of the renowned Canadian sketch comedy duo "The Templeton Philharmonic," alongside Briana Templeton. Together, they created the short film "The Women’s Hour" (CBC Gem) and Canada's first Audible original, "None of Our Business."
