SIOS24 WINTER: INTELLIGENCES Made in Italy
What future is being born in Italy? How much innovation thrives in research labs, centers of excellence, shared workspaces, and the headquarters of startups and companies? Who are the individuals currently contributing an Italian signature to technological evolution in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things? This event investigates how human capital enhances technological progress and what the Italian approach to the ethical and critical development of AI looks like. It explores how local challenges can become global through Italians making strides in research, entrepreneurship, and innovation abroad. The focus is on the interplay between people and technology where human expertise transforms potential into unbeatable solutions. Acknowledging that technological advancements race forward, human capital must also adapt to make a significant impact.
The agenda includes an array of activities: the Main Stage will feature interviews and discussions on innovation, investments, emerging technologies, and future challenges, with insights from industry experts and leaders. Concurrently, the Innovation Village will serve as a vibrant networking hub, allowing attendees to connect with professionals and discover innovative solutions from startups and companies.
Throughout the day, several workshops will be held, including "Unstoppable Women", focusing on narratives of female leadership.
In the morning, startups will showcase their projects and innovative ideas through pitches, providing a glimpse into future emerging technologies.
In the afternoon, the event will host the final round of the fifth edition of the Global Startup Program 2024, organized by Agenzia ICE. One of the highlights of the day will be the awarding of the Startup of the Year title, announced on the Main Stage by a panel of over 150 industry experts.
