Every month, co-founder Kees Klomp engages in discussions with various national and international leaders focused on the transition to a new economy.
These evenings are designed to be interactive, encouraging participants to actively share their questions, ideas, and experiences rather than just listening.
Kees and his guest will kick off the evening, followed by open conversations with attendees about the New Economy. They will address the current system's challenges and highlight powerful examples of individuals and organizations already paving the way for a New Economy. The discussions will also reflect on the transitional period everyone is experiencing and the roles individuals can take in it.
Participants will have the opportunity to listen, reflect, and support each other in making progress toward a society where nature and love are central. The aim is to foster an economy where all life can thrive within socially just and ecologically safe boundaries.
The fourth guest in this inspiring series is Roek Lips, a multi-talented individual who is a journalist, writer, mentor, speaker, advisor, former board member, and film and theater maker. He has inspired many with his sharp, realistic perspective on the past, present, and future. Roek's main motivation lies in how individuals can adapt to significant changes in a time that demands much from people, companies, and organizations, which calls for greater reflection. He connects his profound personal experiences with insights gained from numerous remarkable conversations and encounters. Through his interactive lectures, theatrical performances, and masterclasses, he challenges attendees with questions they have not previously contemplated.
This conversation will take place at De Groene Afslag. The main language for the evening will be Dutch, and the discussions will be recorded with the intention of creating a podcast series to share insights with a wider audience.
The discussion will start at 19:00 and will conclude when participants feel either tired or finished talking, likely around 21:00. There is a fee of €25 (including VAT) to cover organization costs, which also includes a complimentary drink upon arrival.
To ensure that younger generations can participate, 10 tickets are available for €5 for individuals under 25. Those over 25 who may find the price prohibitive are still welcome—just reach out via email to arrange attendance.
On Monday evenings, attendees can enjoy a delicious daily meal at De Groene Afslag from 18:00 to 19:00. Reservations should be made through the provided link.
