Ancient Roman Recipes
Moretum, epityrum, and posca may not be familiar dishes to many, but the ancient Romans certainly loved them!
Participants will explore the delightful flavors of Roman cuisine during this engaging workshop.
They will prepare small dishes using ancient Roman recipes, ranging from Roman herb cheese to the precursor of olive tapenade. Upon tasting their creations, it will be evident that the Romans were truly unique in their culinary practices.
This unique workshop is offered by the archaeology and nature and environmental education department of the municipality of The Hague.
