It is important to read all the guidelines in detail to ensure a smooth experience. These guidelines will be available on the day of the gathering.
By registering, participants agree to the terms and conditions; thus, it is essential to review them carefully.
Punctuality is crucial.
Access will become invalid 15 minutes after the presentation begins, placing late arrivals on a waiting list without any guarantee of entry or book signing.
Registration is free, but it is limited to 500 individual entries.
After registering, participants will receive an email containing their unique access code, which is personal and non-transferable. This code must be presented on the event day to attend the presentation and signing with Alan Ituriel.
In case of duplicate codes, only one will be valid, rendering the others invalid. Participants are advised not to share their access codes or register multiple times with the same name or email address.
The day of the presentation, punctuality is essential.
The Penguin Random House staff will guide participants on where to line up for entry, organized according to arrival times.
To gain access, prior online registration is mandatory along with the presentation of the access code on the event day.
Access validation will take place on December 7, 2024, at the entrance of the Enrique González Martínez Hall, International Area, Expo Guadalajara from 09:00 to 10:15. Arriving after this timeframe will invalidate access, leading to a waitlist status without guaranteeing entry or book signing.
The Penguin Random House team will verify registrations and provide wristbands for entry.
The registration is personal and non-transferable; only one individual per registration will be allowed entry with their wristband in place.
Each participant will have the opportunity to sign one book only. The author will not sign clothing or any items other than a book. To enter the signing, it is required to have the original book; otherwise, participants will be asked to purchase one at that moment to retain their spot.
The gathering will conclude at the designated time in the FIL program or earlier if the author finishes signing.
The Penguin Random House team will take a photo or video during the signing with attendees' devices as a keepsake.
To ensure all attendees get their books signed, the author will not record videos or messages of any kind.
Can I share a spot with my friend if I got a place and they didn’t? No. Each access is personal and will be scanned prior to entering. Participants will receive a colored wristband indicating validated access. Sharing access or attempting to falsify it will result in one of the individuals being excluded.
If I couldn’t secure access and I show up to wait in line, will I have a chance to enter? No. To guarantee the best experience for all registered participants, we aim to avoid crowds and long lines.
Are there designated seats? No. Entry only guarantees access; seating will be occupied as participants arrive.
