Program
Trio Concept
The Trio Concept recently won the First Prize at the Schoenfeld International String Competition in Harbin, China, and was designated as an ECHO Rising Star for the 2025/2026 season. The ensemble also received the 'Yves Paternot Award' at the 31st edition of the Verbier Festival. In 2023, after auditions at Wigmore Hall in London, they were selected as YCAT artists, a first for an Italian ensemble.
In Italy, the Trio made headlines by earning the Second Prize at the Premio Trio di Trieste, where they also received several special awards. With an average age of 20, they are the youngest chamber music group ever rewarded in the history of the competition. Recently, they made their debut with Beethoven's Triple Concerto in Taiwan.
The Trio Concept has distinguished itself with various successes, including winning the first prize at the Amadeus Factory competition and the Giovanna Maniezzo prize from the Accademia Musicale di Siena. They have been named resident ensemble for prestigious programs like ProQuartet in Paris and the Comitato Amur. Founded in 2013 at the Conservatorio di Torino, the Trio performs across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
Recognized for their refined interpretations and commitment to contemporary repertoire, the Trio Concept is also dedicated to outreach, sharing their passion for music with young generations. They have conducted masterclasses at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and the Lyceum Mozarteum in Havana.
Originally formed in 2013 as Trio Chagall, the group decided to change its name in October 2024 to better reflect their artistic journey, centered around the idea of the trio as the core of their musical activity, thus creating a strong and coherent "trio concept."
