Towards the Best of Worlds
Innovating today by exploring the future
Every era demands its own form, as noted by Bauhaus architect Hannes Meyer in 1926. Today, we find ourselves in the Anthropocene era, characterized by accelerated environmental crises, growing economic challenges, and persistent global inequalities. In light of these pressing issues, a vital question arises: "How can we rethink, enhance, and optimize human living environments in this time of upheaval?"
This seminar aims to share the outcomes of the international workshop "The Future Human Habitat is to Evolve", held at IMREDD in July 2024, bringing together numerous international representatives from 19 cities worldwide.
Participants will explore scenarios and indicators for innovative solutions conceptualized during the workshop for the "Parc Méridia" neighborhoods in Nice and Jernbanebyen in Copenhagen.
By delving into these scenarios and reflections, attendees will learn how futurology can comprehend, provoke, and provide keys to reimagine human habitats, charting pathways for a better future.
