Join us in celebrating the diverse perspectives, cultures, and values of Finland during the Multicultural Independence Day celebration. This year's MIP2024 invites everyone, regardless of their background, to come together and honor Finland’s 107 years of independence. The event will be held on the 6th of December at Tiivistämö in Helsinki. The celebration will showcase a program starting at 13:00 and concluding at 15:00, followed by refreshments, wrapping up by 17:00. Like last year, participants can also watch the program online from home.
This year's MIP program, from 13:00 to 15:00, features an exciting variety of cultural and artistic performances from around the world, celebrating the essence of diversity. Attendees can enjoy enchanting singing and dance acts, along with motivational talks from esteemed members of Finland's multicultural communities. The central theme for this occasion is "Strength in Diversity", encouraging contemplation on the significance of diversity and the shared experiences of Finland’s multicultural population.
There is no need for registration to participate online. The program will be streamed live on the Helsinki-channel http://helsinkikanava.fi/
