Ghana Diaspora Holiday Arts and Crafts Expo 2024
(Themed: Teaching Our Kids to Love Their Skin Color "My Black is Beautiful")

This gathering at the Baobab Galaxy Event Center, Aflasu-Manso, Ga, Ghana, West Legon area promises a joyful day rich in creativity and cultural connection. Attendees can dive into various craft activities such as creating comic books, drawing and painting, or transforming used tires into stunning furniture and handmade dolls.
Participants will not only get to enjoy the crafting, but also the joy of seeing smiles on the faces of orphans and children. This expo welcomes everyone from seasoned artists to those eager to explore new creative avenues, making it an ideal venue to celebrate and express African heritage through art and craft.
*Expert Alexis will guide participants in creating Black Comic books*
*Expert JVOP will demonstrate making furniture from used Tires*
Vendors can join for FREE by bringing their own tables, chairs, and canopies. Vendors are encouraged to invite two paying attendees and promote their participation on their social media platforms.
*Attendees will enjoy a music concert that includes a delicious Ghanaian meal for $35.00. To manage meal preparations efficiently, purchasing meal tickets in advance is advised.*
*Various fruit drinks and beverages will be available for purchase*
*Attendees may bring their own cocktails, but outside food is not permitted*
*Light refreshments will be provided for paid doll and drum makers*
*Please note: Refunds are not possible once vendor deposits are made.*
*Those who do not wish to create a doll or drum can opt to purchase a kit*
Each attendee must purchase a meal ticket for each day they plan to participate, and children will need meal tickets if they are eating. Outside food is not allowed.

Live entertainment will feature performances by OB KWAME from Ghana, NII BOII Entertainment from the USA, alongside local artists.

Catering for the event will be provided by Chef Isaac Danquah Jr., offering delicious Ghanaian cuisine.
Learn and enhance skills in comic book creation and wind up with hands-on experience from JVOP Jallo Village of Peace on repurposing materials to create furniture.
Transportation options include local taxis or Uber for easy access to the venue.
