The Serenade No. 13 in G major "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik," K. 525, is commonly known as "A Little Night Music." Composed by Mozart in 1787, its first movement introduces one of the most recognizable themes in classical music. This serenade represents the last work of Mozart in the genre.
Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" is a set of four violin concertos composed in 1723. It is regarded as Vivaldi's most famous composition and is one of the most performed musical works globally. This violin concerto features a solo violin accompanied by a chamber orchestra, with each part reflecting a different season. For instance, winter is characterized by high strings playing pizzicato notes, evoking the sound of icy rain, while summer is depicted through a storm in the final movement, with thunder rumbling throughout.
The Hélios Orchestra, established in 2014, is dynamic and eclectic. Its artistic director, Paul Savalle, prioritizes the professional integration of young musicians through orchestral practice. This initiative allows recent graduates to collaborate with seasoned orchestra musicians, conductors, and soloists in optimal working conditions.
Ranging from baroque to contemporary music, the orchestra presents diverse programs, featuring both symphonic and choral repertoire. They often collaborate with local and regional choirs to enrich their performances.
By working with various conductors, the musicians explore a rich repertoire, expanding their interpretative skills. They all hail from prestigious French conservatories, with some members belonging to a national orchestra.
From string quartets to the symphonic orchestra, and including brass ensembles, the Hélios Orchestra continually broadens its audience by varying its configuration. The "strings" ensemble performs in some of the most prestigious churches in Paris, allowing the public to discover a rich architectural heritage.
The Hélios Orchestra's adaptable formation enables it to tackle a wide range of repertoire with passionate curiosity.
