The key metric in recruitment is the "Quality of Hire". The focus is on successfully placing the right individuals in the right positions at the right time and under the right conditions.
Hiring quickly or cheaply does not guarantee success if the person hired is not suitable for the role. Metrics such as offer acceptance rates or positive candidate experiences are irrelevant if the quality of the hire is not ensured first.
The crucial question is: how can the Quality of Hire be enhanced?
There is no single solution or "magic bullet" that guarantees success. Instead, there are various factors that can be adjusted to improve hiring quality.
In a total of six brief presentations, referred to as "Spotlights," different aspects concerning these factors will be explored in relation to the Candidate Journey:
What is Quality of Hire, and how can it be measured? How can job postings be crafted to attract the right candidates while deterring unsuitable ones? How can marketing messages engage the right audience? What role does smart job-matching play in improving self-selection? How can modern assessment methods make hiring decisions more accurate? How can career changes be facilitated for individuals transitioning from other fields?
This program aims to ignite minds on these subjects...
However, the #HREdge25 is neither a traditional conference nor a festival. It is a unique gathering where the six Spotlights each last around 15 minutes and are conducted in a "stand-up format." After each presentation, participants rotate and can discuss the insights with others. Attendees will enjoy drinks and finger foods, creating an atmosphere that blends structured content with networking opportunities.
In addition, for those interested, there will be hands-on experiences with AI matching job requirements to candidate skills, engaging in a recruiting game, or even experiencing an Apple Vision Pro for the first time.
This experience takes place in the exceptional setting of the Business Club Hamburg, complete with music, drinks, finger foods, and views of majestic ocean liners.
